My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The location added a bit of a resort feel with beautiful views of the river, but the noise from the nearby I5 was a bit annoying. The service was friendly and courteous, yet there were some issues with cleanliness in the rooms. Dining was somewhat disappointing, lacking in options for families with children.

Rooms
5.0
After a day of exploring Portland and the surrounding area, I found the rooms to be below par. There were some cleanliness issues, and I even had to deal with spiders. The option of paying extra for cheese in the omelette didn't sit well with me, especially seeing another guest upset over the high prices on basic menu items.
Service
7.0
The service provided was friendly and courteous across the board. However, there were some lapses in promptness and cleanliness, with missing replacements being an issue. It was a letdown not to receive the level of service I expected.
Location
6.0
The location of the hotel did have its perks, with beautiful views and a nice beach on the back side, adding to the resort vibe. However, the noise from the nearby highway was bothersome, making it hard to fall asleep. Being close to nature was a plus though.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience, despite the beautiful view of the Columbia River during breakfast, didn't leave a good impression on me. The high cost of basic items was a downside, especially for families with children. The overall dining experience didn't live up to expectations.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities at the hotel were average without any standout features or amenities that wowed me. The value for money in terms of facilities could have been better.

The hotel offers very spacious and modern rooms, but the surroundings overlooking the parking lot with homeless individuals can be unsettling at night. The service is inconsistent, with some staff being rude and unhelpful while others, like Nikki, stand out positively. The location is lovely and quiet, though a bit far from downtown Portland, requiring transportation. The dining experience is perfect, especially with a hot custom breakfast and a view of the Columbia River. Overall, the facilities are satisfactory with some minor issues.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were fantastic with a modern touch, featuring a balcony that overlooked the beautiful green common area and the water. However, the service fell short with some rude staff and issues encountered. The location, while convenient for access to both Portland and Vancouver, had its drawbacks. The dining experience was not up to my expectations, lacking the typical quality I associate with Red Lion.

Rooms

The rooms were very cool, with a huge bathroom and balcony overlooking the green common outside area and the water. They were large, clean, and looked modern.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, while spacious and clean, had a slight smell and could have been more meticulously maintained. The beautiful view of the Columbia River was a highlight, but I was disappointed that the room with the view I requested was unavailable. Despite the willingness to pay extra, I was informed it was not an option. The service, unfortunately, fell short with rude and inattentive staff members. However, the facilities provided, such as dry cleaning and laundry services, were convenient. The location, while close to major cities like Vancouver and Portland, was not well-staffed for certain services like garbage pickup and recycling.

5.8/10

The hotel rooms didn't quite meet my expectations as they smelled old, were located near a busy road, and lacked the 'wow effect' I was hoping for. Despite requesting a room with a view, which I was willing to pay extra for, I was informed it was unavailable when someone else inquired about it over the phone.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms felt a bit dated with an old smell and noise from the nearby road. Disappointing that the requested room with a view was not available.
Service
6.0
The service was a mix - friendly and courteous at times but ungracious during check-in and check-out. They did promptly fix the hot water, attributing any inconvenience to being a 'green' hotel.
Location
7.0
The location had its ups and downs. The views by the river in the morning were beautiful, yet the proximity to I5 made the noise bothersome for falling asleep.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience didn't leave a great impression, especially for my family with children. The selection off the menu was lacking, and the quality wasn't up to par.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities offered dry cleaning, shops/commercial services, laundry, and a happy hour. Pricing seemed to be on par with the services provided.
